So Who is Banning Books?
The Indiana Senate has passed SB12 (now moves to the house) which is designed to allow parents recourse and process to have objectionable books removed from Public School Libraries. This issue has led to the all too predictable response from liberals and the liberal teachers union that Republicans are trying to censor and ban books. Never mind that the books that have led to this attempt at legal correction are absolutely atrocious child grooming literature intended to normalize abnormal sexual behavior in young children. Never mind that no one is proposing banning any book from public consumption, just from young and impressionable children in our public schools. Having read the bill(unlike most of the critics) it does not specifically mention any book but simply allows parents to file a complaint and lists the process and procedures involved. It makes the whole process simple and transparent.
These rules and laws wouldn't have to be enacted if the supposed guardians of our kids in public schools were not so arrogantly and stubbornly opposed to hearing and acting on parental concerns. You might not want to look too deep here or you might discover that public education has a disturbingly sustained hostility to parental rights, transparency(remember they are the experts!) and in particular to any standard of sexual morality. Apparently according to the teachers union we are not supposed to screen or restrict any material from the eyes and ears of innocent children. The fake outrage and self righteous cries against book banning is actually quite nauseous considering the facts.
Prior to 1963 the Holy Bible was used in every public school in America. In the early days of public school and even earlier the Bible WAS the textbook and this was encouraged by our founding fathers. The famous McGuffey Readers used scripture and classic literature to develop the vocabulary and reading comprehension of entire generations of school kids. Not one time was this ever seen as anything but a good and positive thing. In the early 1960's however the United States began to experience a cultural Marxist revolution of sorts and began to see activist liberals fill our court systems, media, and college campus's. A great rebellion against God took place among the culture that began a sustained assault on many of the institutions that has made us the envy of the world. In 1962 the Supreme Court decided that daily prayer was a violation of the Constitution and halted millions of children praying every day for their country, their parents and for themselves. A year later the court also found that Bible reading was a violation of the constitution as well.
The precipitous collapse of our society and public education from that point is well documented. From skyrocketing teen pregnancy, violence both in society and in school, suicide and depression, declining sat scores and reading comprehension along with just about any measurable statistic shows a clear correlation. The absolutely awful social experiment we foisted on the youngest and most impressionable is made all the more unforgivable by our stubborn refusal to acknowledge the mistakes and take appropriate course corrections.
A quick perusal of news stories from all over the country will show a continued pattern of banning the Bible, restricting the Bible, and harassing teachers and school boards that allow some form of Bible use. This persecution and censorship is all coming from, you guessed it, the sanctimonious left wing of the Democrat party. The very people who oppose any attempt by parents to know about and restrict garbage literature from polluting their children are adamantly opposed to the most famous, historical and important book of all time, the Bible.
So let's talk about the hypocrisy of the left when it comes to censorship. Ever hear of the cancel culture? That's a fun one invented and enforced by liberals. The constant whining to the board at Twitter from Democrat lawmakers revealed a not all that shocking collusion with social media sites to silence voices they did not agree with. There is a silent(sometimes not so silent!) no hire rule towards conservatives on almost all college campus's and the education departments on most college campus's are used to screen out anyone not group thinking with the best of them. We are dealing with an almost totalitarian persecution of conservative, traditional, or Christian thought and speech and it's all coming from the hypocrites on the left now screaming against parents simply wanting to keep age appropriate material, well age appropriate.
Want to see who is banning books? Try using a science book written from a creationist perspective in a classroom, or any book that has a Christian devotional in it, or any history book that doesn't trash the US as being founded by white supremacists or written by the Marxist Howard Zinn(author of the most widely used textbooks for history in public schools). The amount of books not allowed by school corporations is immense and here's the thing, they don't have or need a list because the left's censorship is all based on their own worldview. They are all in lock step because they all think the same. It's obvious there is only one group of people actively banning books and that group is of course liberals.
