Hope for America

That our country is in trouble should no longer be disputed. From the moral erosion that has permeated even the Church to our political corruption so deep that we can legitimately question whether we elect our leaders anymore. While there are plenty of reasons to believe in our demise the purpose of this post is to offer some hope and a different perspective.

I've lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing Proofs I see of this Truth — That God governs in the Affairs of Men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his Notice, is it probable that an Empire can rise without his Aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings, that except the Lord build the House they labor in vain who build it. I firmly believe this, — and I also believe that without his concurring Aid, we shall succeed in this political Building no better than the Builders of Babel: We shall be divided by our little partial local interests; our Projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall become a Reproach and Bye word down to future Ages – Benjamin Franklin in his speech to the Constitutional Convention June 28^th 1787.

The above quote from Benjamin Franklin, someone who although spiritual was not known for being a devout Christian is a truth that I have come to believe. Without the intervention of God we would not have survived nor prospered as a nation. We can see the hand of God in our founding, freedom, preservation and prosperity. The question that remains of utmost importance now is whether or not God is finished or through with the United States of America. Have we reached a point spoken of in the Old Testament where the land is so polluted with violence and sexual perversion that it begins to vomit out it's inhabitants?(See Leviticus 18:28) I know a good case could be made for that but I don't think we are there quite yet.

It is possible to observe the hand of God moving in the affairs of men. It is possible if our spiritual eyes are open and our hearts in tune with Him. I'd like to share an epiphany to this end that I had at the beginning of the year. It was triggered by something Jesus said and Elon Musk's actions with twitter of all things.

²¹ When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. ²² But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils. -Luke 11:21,22.

Of course Jesus was speaking about it being a sign of His authority and power that He could deliver someone from demons but it is also an important life truth He illustrates here. What if the strong man has been setup as a power over our country and their armor so to speak has been the secrecy they have covered themselves with? It has become increasing clear that many of our national decisions and politicians are being controlled by a shadow group of godless elites who answer to no one. God knows and sees all things and what if He has, for His Kingdom's sake declared war against them? I know it may be hard to believe God would do that but scripture is full of examples of God dealing with the enemies of His people and humbling those who rise up against Him in pride. He is our defender and if He has purposes yet to be completed in our nation then it is entirely possible God is on the move.

I'd like you to see cleaning up Washington or bring societal reform in all areas as the goods the strong man is guarding. We have been trying to take the goods and plunder without having defeated the strong man. Jesus clearly states that only someone stronger or greater than the strong man can take from him his armor. I submit to you today that the armor is being removed. The armor of secrecy has been rolled back by two specific weapons. One has been Donald Trump. Of all that can be said about him(and there is a lot) no one should deny the full on exposure of the swamp that has taken place because of him. We know more about the corruption in the FBI, CIA, Justice Department, Supreme Court, Mainstream or Legacy media and Homeland Security than we could ever have imagined. All because an outsider dared to win a Presidential election. Trust me when I say these entities would never in a million years allow themselves to be seen in the light if they could help it. Someone stronger than they has been at work. It's not just about Trump either lest you get sidetracked by him. Elon Musk, another person one could write volumes about, purchased Twitter and another huge piece of exposure was revealed. We have now learned definitively that the FBI, Homeland Security, politicians of all stripes and Tech titans have been and are in active collusion against the will of the American people. They have censored, canceled and persecuted anyone who speaks truth.

The breadth of what we now know and what has been revealed is breathtaking in it's insidiousness and wickedness. Again, armor being taken away from the strong man. I'm convinced the only one able to have orchestrated this is God. If God is still fighting for the soul of our country then we should also not give up the fight. It means more is to come. It means victory is attainable. It also means that until the man behind the curtain is bound we will still see limited successes with taking the spoil. I will be on the lookout for more signs that God is moving and so should you. If God fights for us then who could possibly be against us? It isn't time for a victory lap, it isn't time to despair, it is time to take heart and to have hope.
